Erik MacIntosh is the Science On a Sphere Coordinator at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. He presents Science On a Sphere datasets to audiences from across the agency and to visiting NOAA partners, develops new data visualizations, and trains NOAA scientists to use SOS as a communication tool. Prior to working at NOAA, Erik spent 7 years as an informal educator at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center in Chapel Hill, NC, presenting live programs, developing curriculum, designing exhibits, and hosting special events. He completed his undergraduate degree in Physics and Science Education from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Masters in Science Education from NC State University.
