Dr. Oren Ben Dor, Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Oren Ben Dor studied Physics and received his BSc from Tel-Aviv University. He completed his MSc and PhD in the Applies Physics department in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in which he’d studied chiral induced spin selectivity phenomena occurring whenever spin specific electrons are transferred through a self-assembled monolayer of chiral molecules. He is currently conducting his postdoctoral research at the Center for Astrophysics in Harvard University, under supervision of Prof. Ronald Walsworth, researching proximity effects in be electrons in chiral molecules by using nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamonds, used as sensitive magnetometers, a funded project by the Origins of Life grant.
